French Polynesia, The Cook Islands, Wallis & Futuna and American Samoa are NOT countries but territories. They are all self-governing but their federal funding and administration is carried out by France for French Polynesia and Wallis & Futuna, New Zealand for The Cook Islands and USA for American Samoa. The Polynesian Peoples are the main indigenous ethnicity in all four territories.
John will be cruising through 3 of the 5 archipelagos of French Polynesia visiting 10 islands over 12 days and 3,871 km from/to the Capital Papeete on the island of Tahiti. He then flies to the Cook Islands to run and swim the islands of Rarotonga and Aitutaki. Wallis Island can only be reached by a weekly flight from Nadi in Fiji and American Samoa is only accessible by air from Apia, the Capital of Samoa. That’s a lot of flying but be assured – you will see a lot of action !!! Get ready.
